Life imitates nature at Umkumbe Bush Lodge. While animals wallow to escape the African heat, we humans gather at a watering hole of our own. Summers at the lodge call for rotating between dips in the swimming pool, relaxing on the tanning chairs, and sipping on something cool.
That is when you are not out and about on a safari adventure. You will, however, still have access to views of the wild even while cooling down at camp. Our pool area seamlessly integrates with the Tree House’s deck overlooking a watering hole for the animals and from where sightings are plentiful.
Guests staying in the exclusive Impala Lily Honeymoon Suite also have access to their very own plunge pool. Located on their private deck with panoramic views of nature, newlyweds can relax in the water while enjoying the thrills of a safari adventure. Here, the couple can submerse further into the opulence of their suite while spending quality time together in nature.
*Please note that the main pool has both a shallow and a deep end and that an adult should supervise children at all times.

Leadwood, our exclusive Luxury Tent, is slightly larger and secluded with a verandah and outside shower. Leadwood features a king-size bed and a sofa couch to accommodate one additional person. The bathroom has a bathtub and a couple’s sink.
